De-icing Services
De-icing is an important safety procedure for people and vehicles when the temperature drops. The process works by spreading a layer of rock salt overtop of high-traffic areas, which melts through the snow and ice while breaking the ice bond on paved surfaces. De-icing services are often used proactively before the snow falls, which allows the salt to dry and bond to the paved surface and lower the freezing point of falling snow.
Our team also uses de-icing trucks to make sure areas are safe for driving, walking, and equipment. We put different de-icing products to work depending on the type of surface we’re dealing with. For example, relatively new concrete cannot use the same product that asphalt of older concrete would.
