Gutter Guards
Gutter guards are a method of protection for your gutters. Often known as leaf guards, these protective systems come in a range of different styles, materials and configurations, but the goal remains the same – to keep falling debris out of your gutters.
Why Gutter Guards?
The best case for installing gutter guards on your home is to save yourself the hassle of regular roof cleaning. Especially if you live on a property with excess vegetation, it’s a big ask to get up on that ladder twice per year. It’s a time-consuming job to get done solo, and injuring yourself is a very real threat. But you hire professionals to come in and get the job done regularly, the costs can add up.
Another important benefit of installing gutter guards is keeping pests at bay. You’d be surprised at the number of critters that would find your leaf-clogged gutters a suitable home, including mice, birds, and squirrels. Plus, spiders love to take cover in gutters so they can lay their eggs. Gutter guards aren’t completely sealed, but they do keep the majority of squatters away.
That’s why so many people opt to install gutter guards. The need for getter cleaning becomes is reduced, and homeowners can rest easy knowing their gutters won’t be infested or cause water damage around their home.
